(PS- If anyone thinks that the guy at the stables looks a liiiittle bit like Hero, well, it’s not a coincedence.

Not a major plot point at all, just a fun thing for me to add in. It’s mentioned very early in the comic that Hero’s brother is married into the family that owns a large stable company (kind of analogous to a car rental service, obviously). It stands to reason that some relatives of his probably have positions with them. So yeah, this background character is probably his second cousin or something like that.)

Just a heads up to say that there will probably be an update on Friday, but it’s not for sure. We had a fairly nasty storm last night and a tree fell on the power lines to our house (but thankfully it just missed my car, and the house is alright except for some fallen trim). We don’t know when we’ll have power back, but I guess that’s what coffee shops and friend’s houses are for. I might have to rock things old school and draw by candle light, but I’ll try!

I was getting ready for Katsucon all week, and had planned this to be a week of delicious but non-nutritional filler. However, thanks to the 50 foot thick blanket of snow currently covering the mid-Atlantic, I am not at Katsucon. Therefore, I have a week of wasted preparations, and also no comic*. So, I guess nothing’s changed.

I do a lot of doodles and memes with these characters, and they usually just end up on Deviantart where they belong. UNTIL NOW. Sorry if anyone’s already seen these. (Also readers should probably stay away from my DA account because I do upload some spoilerish stuff once and awhile. Although really it’s mostly just terrible fanart for video games and 30 year old anime.)

*I mean I guess I could upload that god-awful portrait of Leader Desslok that I framed, but it seems off-topic.

Bubba’s going to be a character in this comic, he’s just not here yet.

His real name is Basidio Serroft. I don’t actually know why so many of my characters have nick-names, maybe it’s compensating for my own lack of nick-name-ability. There is simply no adequate short form of Laura. :C
