I’ve had plenty of tricks so far this October, what with the nearly back-to-back fluings, but here is something of a treat: GAM-a-ween goes to the Inn at the End of the World!

Hi guys. Sorry about the dearth of updates. I have been pretty disgustingly ill for the last while. Cold+sinus infection+flu all conspired to hit me one after the other and exacerbate my more chronic problems. This is my character study of Mehlan as a young woman, around the time she meets Arholf. I gave it to my mom for mother’s day.

Anyway, I am going to try to go back to bi-weekly updates, but honestly my health is kind of shaky right now. My day job can be stressful, and by the time I get home at night I just crash to sleep, so I don’t have a lot of energy to draw. I am working on getting Iceheart back up and running, and hope to have an announcement about that at the end of the summer.

Update: Okay, final panel is done. I decided to simplify like hell, and it didn’t turn out as badly as I thought it would.

This final panel is really giving me hell. I can’t draw icebergs at all. They’re coming out looking more like piles of mashed potatoes. I’ll have the full page up by Tuesday, though, regardless of how lumpy the landscape looks.

Back from hiatus, Arholf’s adventures continue!

And we’re back! Regular updates are starting again, but I need to cut back to every other Monday. I agonized over starting this page, but once I really started, things turned out okay.

Happy Post Thanksgiving!

Happy Post-Thanksgiving, fellow Americans. For the rest of the world, I hope you had a very nice weekend as well. To be honest, I don’t know how often I’m going to be able to update as the holidays progress. I’ve got my Japanese final coming up (panic!) and I’m trying to wrap things up at work before my winter break, and then there’s everything else that makes this time of year wonderful (50% sarcastic). Anyway, I’ll do my best to get something up every week, but they might be extras like this Thanksgiving card.

I liked drawing the tattoos, but I have a feeling I will get tired of them if I have to draw them every panel. That’s what shirts are for, sailor.
