BadumCHING!  (Bad puns are the highest form of humor.) Hey folks! This here’s a quicky comic written by my brother based on his adventures in New York, (good times)!  Unfortunately due to some crazy website hack I wasn’t able to log in to Girlamatic for a couple weeks, so if you’ve already seen this comic on my twitter, DA, LJ, or facebook, very sorry for the old news!

I’m afraid I’ve had to let updates slow down to a drunken side-walk hugging crawl this month while I get up to speed in my day job. I’m doing storyboards on a really fun show for the Kratt Bros right now (just finished my first half hour!) and my animation day jobs take monster-stomping-fire-breathing levels of  precedence over these here lil’ webcomics. So nope I haven’t stopped doing them, yup they’ll be back, but there most likely won’t be any updates until this month is over (as I’m also working on a short submission for a kick ass comic anthology, more on that later).  Many thanks as always for stopping by and dropping me a message! That game brings out the worst in me…

Yeaaaah I’m THAT person, sending you an Xmas card after the date, BUT chances are there are still a few straggling postcards of merryment  and cheer headed your way, so just count this as part of the pile For those of you still on vacation, enjoy it! Oh the randomness of children…

This week’s comic was written by Shagster and totally brought me back to the days of our glorious youth with a twinkle in my eye. As is shown here, our younger sister would constantly set up baracades infront of the living room with a box polling for various voting statistics (ice-cream flavours, who had the best hair in the house, whatever she felt needed tallying and announcing).  There’s a manga I absolutely adore called “Yotsuba” which perfectly captures this kind of weird, random and curious behavior which I think makes kids so awesome.

Cooooool. Alright! Have a happy thanks-giving turkey feast to all my Amercian readers! (or who ever else enjoys turkey… or tofurkey…)

What a sneaky fellow, usually when you sell someone a floor model you give some kind of discount, not pass it off as brand new. BUT everything ended happily and I’m quite besmitten with this pretty cintiq *mwa*

In other news! I’m back to work (yaaay!) storyboarding on a show (I can’t really say which just yet) and as such comic updates may once again become kind of sporadic (case in point, this was supposed to be last tuesday’s comic). If you’re interested in getting Shrub Monkey updates it may be best to get the RSS feed…thing… going… okay I actually have no idea how RSS feeds work but apparently they let you know when a comic updates (I r compooter  smrt.)

But man, apples from orchards are a billion times superior to store-apples! Makes me wish I had an apple tree here at my place in the city but I just know the raccoons, squirrels and random yuppies would ravage that thing in a second. *regretful sigh*
