It seems that Girlamatic is tentatively back up and running for the meantime. There are still some bugs on my end, but I am not sure about bugs on the reader end. If you are still having trouble displaying pages, tell me here. I will try to keep ya’ll updated on the site status!
This site will remain as the “secondary” site (with the WCN Mirror acting as the main site and the site that the www.skindeepcomic.com URL points to) until I am positive that the site issues have been fixed. Until then I am using this time to clean up the site a little bit. I have moved the Reader Questions off the main page, but they can still be read here. I will put up a proper link to Reader Questions in the Extras section as soon as I’m able to edit pages again (this is one of the bugs that are still being worked out).
I’ve also finally uploaded all the Fanart that I have gotten over the years. It’s not in any sort of order since the page arranges the pictures on date added rather than date created and I just kinda updated them willy nilly as I went along, but they’re all there! If I missed putting up your fanart, it’s not because I hate you! It’s because I only just recently started organizing fanart in any sort of logical fashion on my computer, and it’s very possible I just forgot yours. Give it to me again and I’ll fix it!
I also moved Ridiculous Creatures into the main Skin Deep archives, so it will show up between Exchanges chapter 1 and 2 while reading through the archives. Since it has similar themes to Fiddler’s Cave I thought it would be nice to include it in the archive run.

I love your comic Kory, and was elated to find the site working again the other day, but looking at it today I once again can’t get the comic images to load. Everything else appears fine, and I’ve tried allowing all permissions with noscript for this page, reloading repeatedly and doing the back/next thing but nothing gets the comics to show up.
Aw dangit, I was hoping that part had been fixed. Is it all the comics that aren’t showing? Is it doing the thing where it’s just a hyperlink that goes nowhere? Does Ridiculous Creatures work? Or Reader Questions? Or is everything like that? I’m trying to see if I can pinpoint the problem, hah hah. Augh this is frustrating!

Sorry, updated my bookmark to the WCN site and forgot to check back here, brainfarting on the URL in the process. It was doing the hyperlink in place of a comic, but everything seems to be working for me today. I finally caught up on the reader questions and got to see Ridiculous Creatures on this site, thank you!
Yup, the problem of no pictures is back, and the link in the post to the WCN Mirror isn’t functional either. Yay.
Oops, the broken link to the WCN mirror was my fault, it’s fixed now. :) So you CAN see the Ridiculous Creatures comic, but not the main comic? Do you get the same results with the Reader Questions link? I wish I could experience these problems myself so I could try to figure this out. this is bizarre.
I can now see the end of chapter 1, All 4 of the comics in the “Ridiculous creatures” run, but not “Exchanges 2: Heartaches”, which if it had the line “Oh Jesus Wept” in it, I could see before, but not now. Reader Questions (now in its own section) seems to work fine.
The problems seem a bit random in nature.
And this morning I can see “Exchanges 2: Heartaches”. Truly, this problem is a bit random! Ah well, I’m sure it’ll all get sorted out with time. Hang in there. Your comic is good and definitely worth battling a few minor technical glitches to read. :-)
Oh, I tested the Ridiculous Creatures link, and it does seem to work, even after refreshing and/or leaving/revisiting a specific page (this would usually cause the previously seen page to no longer render the picture in the previous incarnation of the error a couple of weeks ago.) That much is a positive sign.
I’m reading this on the latest Firefox, on Macintosh. I can read your blog just fine, but the picture is nothin’ more than a link to the same page its on, an odd little inversion loop or some such. In case this helps.
Oh, and greetings from Australia, your comic rocks bigtime, I love it very much, and have been showing all my friends (usually by linking them the original site as no one can see the pictures on this one). Keep up the wonderful work and thankye for being a great artist and storyteller!
Agreed, this problem is indeed random. Usually I only have trouble with the one or two most recent strips, but sometimes it’s a large number of them, and sometimes it’s none at all.
The comic pages don’t work for me; there’s a link instead, but that does nothing. The rest of the images work, just not the actual comic pages.

I’m still having trouble viewing the more recent pages, including the front page. They display the same way thisfox and akusma described. I clicked your link to check Ridiculous Creatures and discovered that I can read that just fine. I haven’t looked everywhere, but I clicked around and it seems that I can see just about everything before Heartaches 2: Explain Later, including the reader questions.
Uh. Scratch that. I was double-checking something in another tab and suddenly Ridiculous Creatures and the first page of Heartaches 2 also disappeared. And a little experimentation just revealed that the first two pages of Fiddler’s Cave also vanished after I loaded their respective pages somewhere around two to four times. However, Orientations Part 1 Page 1 has no errors so long as I load the page from my own cache. For reference, I am running Firefox 3.5.2 on WinXP. Hope this helps.
